John J. Millner is a Republican member of the Illinois Senate, representing the 28th district since 2005. Millner previously served as Illinois State Representative for the 55th district from 2003 to 2005, and as Elmhurst Chief of Police from March 1972 – January 2003.

Career

President, John J. Millner & Associates, Inc., a small business specializing in training seminars, and consulting. In the last 30 years Millner has instructed thousands of practitioners from around the country as well as many different law enforcement, governmental and private corporate organizations. Millner is a Certified Master Investigative Hypnotist who has hypnotized over 1000 people, cleared many criminal cases, and lectured on hypnosis to a wide variety of audiences in seminars and academic institutions. He developed and instituted seminars in advanced interviewing, rapport development and body language, and has extensive experience in the art of interviewing and interrogation. Millner is considered an expert in this field by practitioners from around the country. He is also a published author of training manuals and articles in professional journals.
